My Christmas was great had good food, and loads of laughs....Christmas Eve I went to my parents house early afternoon and helped mom clean up, set the table and cook. Jana, the kids, and Josh came over for dinner, and the kids looked so cute in their Christmas outfits we just had to get pictures. Poor kids though ....they had Grandma, mom, and myself taking pics of them that they were confused of which way to look. =) After dinner the kids got to open 1 present which of course turned out to be pajamas. LillyAna had asked one day earlier in the week..... "Why do we always get to open jammies on Christmas eve?" Grandma answered "So we can take pictures Christmas morning of you your jammies." Mom then asked me "Julie, what present present did you always open Christmas Eve when you were younger?" My answer of course was "Jammies" =) Anyways back to Christmas eve.....the kids opened their pajamas and put them on, Jana also got to open one of her
Jana and the kids arrived around 8:00 and of course Adrian is the first one to run up to the door. He was so excited. We all gathered in the living room, and dad took on the role of "Santa" and passing the presents around. Adrian however decided that Grandpa shouldn't have the role all to himself though. He wanted to help grandpa pass presents out so you can imagine how chaotic that was having an already excitable 6 year old boy helping pass out presents. So we had to make sure things he was passing us were for us...the kids opened up their presents in about 10 minutes. The kids got lots of toys. LillyAna mostly got Bratz stuff or Disney Channel stuff which is what she wanted, Adrian got this really cool spaceship thing that makes noise (which Jana's gonna love that) which he loved as well as Lego's, Pokemon toys and a bunch of other stuff. Isabella and Hannah got a new doll house (they are the doll lovers in the family unlike LillyAna who never got into dolls) as well as Isabella's favorite thing a Dora backpack. Hannah was pretty upset when we
were done and decided to throw a fit on the ground but eventually Grandpa calmed her down. Dad's big gift was a new computer monitor, mom's big present was a Ipod, Jana's big gift was a new digital camera, my big gift were a couple of Seasons of 24!!! YAY....Josh got colone, money, and trail mix. After presents we had breakfast. The yummy strata casserole that mom and I had made the night before. After breakfast we lounged around for a bit and let the kids play with some of their toys. Jana finally decided it was time to go home and get the kids their naps and come back later. We cleaned up, and lounged around the rest of the morning, I watched "Planet Earth" ( a mini-series that was on T.V this summer) on DVD which is what I got my mom and dad for Christmas, as well helped mom cook again for lunch/dinner. All was pretty calm until around 2:00 when mom's friend Lisa came over. Mom, dad, and her exchanged Christmas presents and visited for awhile. Jana and the kids came back over around 4:30-5:00 for lunch/dinner with the kids, and that's when of course it got loud and chaotic again. The
y all had food. The kids continued to play with their toys, Jana, mys
elf, and Adrian put together a Lego set that I gave him. The Vance Family came over around 6:00 for dinner and to exchange presents. The kids had loads of fun playing together, and causing the adults to continually say "Indoor voices" Jana finally decided it was time to go and get her kiddo's into bed. The Vance family stayed and watched a couple of episodes of Planet Earth, with Kyler constantly asking "Is that a shark? Is that a shark? =) After the Vance family decided to leave, I decided it was time to go home as well.
It was a relaxing but chaotic Christmas 2007. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas filled with laughter and love. Hey even my brother smiled!!!
