Well, it finally happened...a SAD SAD day in Seatle!! Ken Griffey Jr. announced his retirement today! It came as a shock to me that he announced his retirement effective immediately...I had a feeling he was going to be retiring at the end of the season but I thought he'd finish out the season but I know he hadn't been doing very well this season.
Ken Griffey Jr. has been Seattle hero since he stepped onto the Kingdome's field 22 years ago in 1989 and since had become one of the most prolific baseball players, and definitely has become a hero to me!!
WE SHALL MISS YOU #24!
