The temple can bring blessings, literally

I know I'm writing a new entry before I write about the camping trip, but I promise I'll write an entry about the camping trip as soon as I can get the pictures off my camera, also what happened in this post happened before the camping trip anyway. So last Thursday (June 17th) the Halls Lake Ward went to the temple to perform baptisms for the dead. I rode down to the temple with Bishop Wilcoxson and his wife. Sister Wilcoxson said "Well, I'll ask the girls first, but I'll pass out towels if no one else wants to." I mentioned that I didn't feel like getting wet that night so if it was ok I would love to pass out towels. (I should probably explain at this point that the sister who passes out towels wears a temple dress not a baptism jumper) so I got in the dress that the temple let me wear since I don't have my own dress. and when I came out in the dress like 5 people said how much they liked the dress on me and that it looked really good on me. Then Sister Wilcoxson and Sister Hamm suggested that I ask the temple if they ever sell dresses. I didn't want to because one I was pretty positive that they wouldn't and I thought it would be embarrassing. So after 5 minutes of convincing Sister Wilcoxson & I went and asked a temple worker who directed us to a head temple worker. When we found this lady Sister Wilcoxson asked her if they'd ever sell the dresses. Now this sister was also a shorter lady so she could relate when I said that when I buy a temple dress it's going to be hard trying to find one that I'm not going to have to alter a whole bunch to get it fitting me correctly. She said that this dress isn't one of our normal dress patterns so she said very nicely..."You can just have it." =) I was like "What? Are you serious?" she said "Yes, absolutely....you can have it." Sister Wilcoxson gave her a big hug and said "Thank You" (of course I followed immediately after) So of course I'm on cloud 9 of course the rest of the night.

So on our way home Bishop asked me "So Julie, what can we learn from this?" I said "That it never hurts to ask.....and that I should listen to Sister Wilcoxson. HA HA!!

No, but I know that when we are doing the things we are supposed to that the Lord can shower blessings onto you even unexpected ones...how ever big or small you should always count your blessings.
