Kayla and James Wedding

About 2 weeks ago I had a strong impression that I should go to Institute. I hadn't been in about 2-3 weeks prior. Anyways, it wasn't until after institute that I found out why one of the reasons I was supposed to go. I had the pleasure of meeting a young lady named Kayla Schmeckel. She came to institute with a friend of mine Shayla Dugan. Anyway, after institute a couple of us went out to Red Robin. At Red Robin, I really got to know Kayla. She and her fiancĂ© James were investigating the church and had made the decision to get baptized, now her and James were originally going to get married in January of next year but decided to push up their wedding so they could be baptized. So they were getting married that Friday, and then on Saturday they were getting baptized. She and James really needed support at their wedding and baptism due to certain circumstances. Anyway, that night I really got to know Kayla and James and a bunch of us hung out at their apartment until 2 in the morning it was SO much fun!!! Anyways, I of course wanted to support them in one of the most important weekends of their life. So, I went to their wedding on Friday. It was such a sweet, simple ceremony. Bishop Smith of the Meadowdale Ward married them, afterwards people went to Lans house to have root beer floats and socialize, and then go to PF Changs to celebrate with them. I unfortunately couldn't go out with them because I had already had prior engagements but I'm so glad I got to celebrate with them for a little bit. Then on Saturday was their incredible baptism. It was just SO amazing to see the change in their lives, and the spirit that was just radiating off of them as they entered the waters of baptism. What was amazing was that the baptismal font room was filled to capacity of people who wanted to support them, it was so amazing. I am so grateful that I got to meet this amazing young couple and I can't wait to see what Heavenly Father has in store for them as they embark on this new chapter in their life.

Below are some pictures of their wedding that Maria took. I didn't get any pictures at their baptism. But congratulations James and Kayla Vazquez.
