10 years ago today our nation would never be the same. We suffered the worst terror attack in American History. I remember that when it happened I was a junior in High School and was at Seminary (a church class that I went to before school) so I didn't hear about it until I got to school. My friend Monica said that some people hijacked a plane and crashed it. Now I admit I was was really like "okay...don't really care" (SAD I KNOW). But as I went through the day and saw the aftermath of the attacks and comprehended the significance of this event it hit me really hard. For my history class I had to do a report on the significance if the events of 9/11. This day will be forever ingrained in me, it will be a day I'll never forget. I am thankful for the freedom that we have as Americans and I'm especially grateful for the troops who fought and are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. So I'll leave you with these few patriotic words.
"Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave."
"And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA."
