A new calling

That's right. I received a new calling at church. For those of who who read my blog who aren't LDS members (which I don't believe is anyone) but what a calling is is a being to called to perform an act of service in different capacities of the church you can receive a call from anything to a bishop if you hold the priesthood worthily (which a power that the male members of our church hold) to Primary teacher. (Which is a calling woman can hold) and during your call again you are to perform an act of service. My previous call was I was serving as a member of the activities committee. In certain situations you can hold more than 1 calling especially if you're in a ward like we are because there isn't enough people to serve every calling. anyway like I was saying was serving as a member as a activity committee member I was released from that calling and was called to serve as ward music director and chorister. Which means I need to pick out the opening, sacrament, and closing hymns that the the congregation is going to sing on Sunday. As well as picking people to do a special musical number in between speakers. So it definitely is more a responsibility than what I was doing as a activity committee member. I am way excited and nervous as I prepare to serve the ward and the Lord in this capacity.
