Pictures from my short time in Everson

Well, I guess I can write my experience of my short time as a missionary.

Tuesday: at 4:00 I got to the mission office for orientation and met President Wilson and the assistants. Then I met my companion Sister Halladay. We packed up the car and visited with the Blanchard's for awhile. We left about 5:30 and drove up to Everson. It is about an 1½ drive. When we got to our apartment we went to Nooksack to see if we could make some contact with some potental investigators, no luck. We then stopped at the McCormmicks (Angie & Mosiah) to visit. They are such an amazing family and I love them.

Wednesday: We woke up and exercised. Then got ready for the day. Sister Halladay and I had district meeting. Afterwards we packed a lunch and diner and took a ½ hour drive north to Maple Falls and visted with Lisa for awhile. It was awesome meeting Lisa. We also visited the Conley's and we were there for awhile. I love the Conley family. Then we came down to Everson and visted with some members from the Everson Ward (the Olynslagers, Sister Nicklason, etc...) and tried to visit with some P.I's (potential investigators) Then came home and did next day planning.

Thursday: Woke up...left to go to the Everson Building to excersise and do some laps around the gym...stepped off the porch step and ended up breaking my ankle. We called Sister & President Wilson to let them know. We had a couple appointments up in Maple Falls and one was with a hispanic investigator. So we had arranged for the Spanish Elders to go up to Maple Falls with us. (There are 3 Elders so it's ok) Well, we called the Spanish Elders to let them know what happened and to see if they wanted to still keep the appointment. They said yes and they also asked if I would like a blessing and I said yes. They came by with ice cream for Sister Halladay and I and gave me a blessing..Thanks Elders.

Friday: My ankle still hurt so Sister Halladay and I were housebound for the day. So we read Ensigns, scriptures, had personal and companion study etc...

Saturday: As said in a previous entry this is the day we went to they Hoyt's and Dr. Hoyt tried to schedule a x-ray for me. But I received crutches, an ankle brace, an air-soft cast THANK YOU Hoyt Family.

Sunday: Went to church, (all 3 hours) and Missionary Coordination meeting. Then Sister Halladay & I went to the Schindler's house for dinner it was like a mini thanksgiving feast delicious.

Monday: Went and got an x-ray from an imaging office, received the news that it was indeed broken. Scheduled an appointment with a family and Sports medicine doctor. Got the news that it was best if I went home. My companion and I called President and Sister Wilson who decided to close down Everson until next transfer. I called my parents to set up a time to meet me at the mission office the next day. Called a bunch of people and said some emotional goodbyes and packed. It was a very hard night on the both of us.

Tuesday: Lisa came by to say goodbye (that was so incredibly hard to say goodbye to Lisa) Sister Halladay cleaned our apartment and it was killing me that I couldn't help. Then at 10:00 my companion and I went over to visit with the McCormmick's one last time before we left. Then we stopped by Brother Christensen's house to drop off some stuff. Then we drove down to Mill Creek.

It was so hard to leave Everson so soon. But I'm glad that they are still close. So anyway, that is my experiance in a nutshell of my short time in Everson. Here are pictures I took from my short time on my mission.
Another one from the day before I left on my mission

Looks like you had a good time in the short amount of time that you were out there. Your ankle looks like it hurt. Well sorry your time got cut short. But I'm sure the people in Everson loved you.
