Breakfast in Bethlehem

So the Alderwood 1st Ward had their annual Christmas breakfast like they normally do. But instead of a "Santa Breakfast" and at the end having Santa come and give all of the kids a little gift they did "Breakfast in Bethlehem" instead. So people could dress up in attire that would be like what people wore in those times.

However like tradition the Bishopric cooked pancakes. My dad again made pancakes but this time as Bishop not as a counselor. I don't remember a time really when he wasn't making pancakes except the time he was in the high council. Anyways of course my dad couldn't make normal pancakes. He had to make his fancy, he put some pancake batter in squeeze bottles and put red and green food coloring in them and made designs on his pancakes (I believe he made Christmas trees and wreaths. Anyways the food as always was delicious. They had a crafts table for the kids, (unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures from the crafts table I didn't get a whole lot of pictures because I was eating and then they turned off the lights for the program) Then during the time they would have Santa they had a Christmas program. The primary sang, someone narrarated the Christmas Story and there were people the were dressed up as each of the characters, they also had music,  It was very nicely done. The bishopric dressed up as the 3 wise men it was adorable. Anyways like I said I didn't take really take any pictures because it was dark. But here are 3 of the 8 I took.

The Primary children singing "The Nativity Song"

The Nativity Scene (they actually used a real live baby as Jesus I didn't realize that until after) as you can see the Bishopric are portraying the Wise Men
